Rhett's Story:
He was my Spotted Soul-mate.
From the moment I brought him home, he made his sole purpose in life clear - to be with me and love me like no other!
He was diagnosed on December 7, 2007 with Hemangiosarcoma
All Rhett ever wanted was to be with me ... and he fought with all his heart to do just that, surviving 4 ruptures before the final massive rupture took him instantly from me ... on December 12, 2007
I will never stop loving him ... I will never get over losing him ... I will never stop fighting to end this and other forms of cancer and their death hold on our beloved dogs!

Hemangiosarcoma is an insideous form of cancer that develops in the blood vessels of the heart, liver, and spleen and is 100% fatal. An almost silent killer, dogs generally do not show signs of a life threatening disease, until they collaps from a rupture. Even when detected and treated with surgery and or chemotherapy life expectancy is 2 weeks to 3 months. |
